Most horses will encounter dental issues at some point in their lives. As with many aspects of health, prevention is better than cure. That’s why we recommend regular dental check-ups – either annually or bi-annually – along with a balanced, appropriate diet.

We provide a complete range of dental services – from routine care to advanced treatments – all delivered by fully qualified, experienced veterinary surgeons.

Routine teeth rasping is necessary for almost all horses. This procedure smooths out the sharp enamel points that naturally develop due to modern domestication and feeding practices.

When needed, we offer comprehensive treatment options, including advanced dental procedures. Some of these may be carried out at your yard or some may require your horse to come into the clinic. Frankie, one of our vets, has completed an advanced qualification in dentistry and is the first port of call for diastemata, broken teeth and caries.

Advanced dentistry procedures may include extractions, sinus surgery, periodontal disease treatment, infundibular caries treatment and maxillofacial fracture repair.
